Safety Updates

We are continuing to follow safety mandates set by the State of Nevada. To help slow the spread of COVID-19, masks are currently required for all individuals ages 10 years and older who are visiting the library, regardless of their vaccination status. Masks are strongly encouraged for children ages 2 to 9 years old. We appreciate your cooperation.

Mark your calendars! Friends of Henderson Libraries is hosting a Used Book Sale Extravaganza from August 12th – 14th at the Paseo Verde Library. You can buy an entire bag of books for just $5 (bags will be provided). Make sure to stop by for some great bargains!

We know you've been wondering about book donations, too. The Friends will begin accepting donations on Monday, August 16th at the Paseo Verde Library only. Please read their guidelines for what they can and cannot accept (for example: Yes to hardcovers, CDs, DVDs, and classic fiction; No to textbooks, outdated medical books, and cassettes). Think to yourself: Would I buy this?

Friends of Henderson Libraries is looking for board members for the upcoming two-year term starting January 2022. Established in 2000, the mission of our 501(c)(3) non-profit organization is to provide volunteers and to fundraise for Henderson Libraries. The time commitment is reasonable and the value to the Henderson Libraries is unlimited.

We are excited to start up our efforts again after a hiatus and hope that others will join us as future leaders on the board. Be part of the team that helps make Henderson Libraries the best it can be! If you are interested in getting involved, please email us.
