A Message from Our Executive Director

Happy New Year!

 

I love the beginning of the year as a time to reflect on the past year and anticipate what is coming in the new year. I wanted to share with you some of the highlights for Henderson Libraries over the past year: 

• 2024–2029 Strategic Plan – We completed our new five-year strategic plan. Thank you to everyone in the community that participated in our surveys, focus groups, and stakeholder interviews to provide feedback so that we could align our priorities with your needs! You can view the strategic plan here.  
• We had an opportunity to work with the Viewpoint Project to create a video that shares information about many of our great services and resources. We thank our Henderson Libraries Foundation for their financial support for this project and invite you to view the video. 
• Henderson Libraries was so excited to partner with the Las Vegas Aces for Library Card Sign Up Month! The partnership included a brand new Las Vegas Aces-branded library card and a fun-filled afternoon with the Aces at our Paseo Verde Library. 
• Finally, we turned 80 last year! What an amazing experience it is to work with an organization that has served our community for eight decades. I appreciate our team and the commitment they show to providing services, programs, and resources that our community needs. 

LinkedIn Learning has 16,000+ on-demand courses in business, technology, and creativity, such as project management, accounting, IT support, app development, Photoshop, music production, and so much more! This is a great way to advance your career and explore in-demand skills.
