Summer Reading Challenge Ends July 31st

Make sure you're logging your time for our Summer Reading Challenge! This annual reading program runs through July 31st and is open to kids, teens, and adults. The more you read, the more chances you'll have to win great prizes! 

Raffle prizes for kids and teen ages 4-17 include Meow Wolf Las Vegas tickets, an Uptown Jungle party package, Squishmallows, and LEGO or Pokémon kits, plus they can earn passes to Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay, and treats from Nothing Bundt Cakes, Pizza Hut, and Jeremiah's Italian Ice. Adults can win Target gift cards. Your littlest bookworms (ages 0-3) can even participate and earn stickers!

You can still sign up and track your reading online or with the free Beanstack app. You can also add family members to your account and track their progress.

Kids & Teens Eat FREE This Summer

Kids and teens have been enjoying FREE lunch this summer at the Gibson Library! We've teamed up with Three Square to provide free, nutritious meals to youth ages 4 to 18. As a Meet Up and Eat Up location, lunch is served Monday through Saturday from 11:30am to 12:30pm, through Friday, August 4th.

Free 3D Printing

Exciting news! We have partnered with Intagly to offer FREE 3D printing to our patrons! After creating an account with Intagly, you can order from their catalog or upload your own design, and they'll ensure that your item is printed and shipped to your favorite Henderson Libraries location for pick up. Available to Henderson residents with a valid library account. Details at hendersonlibraries.com/intagly.

Ending Period Poverty

We have joined forces with local non-profit organization, Project Marilyn, to offer FREE personal hygiene supplies at our Green Valley and Gibson locations! Project Marilyn's mission is to ensure everyone has a healthy and dignified period.

 Just go to the help desk and ask for the bag Marilyn left you. There are two versions available (pink for pads and black for tampons), and a package should be enough for an average menstrual cycle. We're glad to work with this fabulous organization to help end period poverty in our community.
