Say Hello to Leo!

We held a contest asking Henderson residents to help us name our new library truck. The winning name came from a Roberto H., a local dad who chose "Leo" because it also translates to "I read" in Spanish. We've been taking Leo out to schools and community events in our quest to bring the library to you. If you'd like to have Leo and our team come to your event, please contact us at outreachteam@hendersonlibraries.com.

Funding for this vehicle has been provided by the Institute for Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act, administered through the Nevada State Library, Archives and Public Records.

"Story Portal" Mural

New mural at the Paseo Verde Library

Stop by the Reading Room at the Paseo Verde Library to see the beautiful new mural created by talented local artist, Bonnie Kelso. The 14.5 x 17' painting entitled "Story Portal" shows how reading books can take you on an adventure!

This project was supported in part by the Nevada Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
